Terms of use, in plain language.

The agreement between you and PathPilot when you use the PathPilot app or this website.

Last updated October 17, 2026

The short version

  • These terms are an agreement between you and Guru-Link Inc., doing business as PathPilot, a Canadian company in Toronto.
  • You must be at least 16 to create an account yourself.
  • PathPilot gives guidance to support your decisions. It is not a guarantee of a job, and the career decisions are yours.
  • Your content stays yours. We use it only to provide and improve PathPilot, as our privacy policy explains.
  • If your organization gave you access, its agreement with us also applies, and it wins where the two differ.
  • Ontario law applies, and disputes go to the courts of Ontario.

01About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Guru-Link Inc., doing business as PathPilot ("PathPilot", "we", "us"), at 11 Strickland Ave, Toronto, Ontario M6K 3E6, Canada. They cover the PathPilot app at app.pathpilot.ai, the website at pathpilot.ai, and related services (together, the "Services").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

02Organizations and their users

Organizations such as workforce and community organizations, colleges, universities and outplacement providers use PathPilot under a separate written agreement with us. If you use PathPilot through one of them:

  • their agreement with us applies alongside these Terms, and takes priority where the two conflict;
  • they may set up, manage, suspend or end your access as part of their program;
  • their practitioners can see your profile and progress, as our privacy policy describes.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to do so.

03Who can use PathPilot

You must be at least 16 to create an account yourself. Organizations that offer PathPilot to younger people are responsible for any consent the law requires.

You agree to give accurate information, keep your sign-in details private and tell us right away at privacy@pathpilot.ai if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.

04Fees

Career explorers can use PathPilot at no cost, or through an organization that provides it. Organizations pay for PathPilot under their agreement with us. If we ever introduce paid features for individuals, we will tell you the price before you are charged, and you can choose not to use them.

05Career guidance, not a guarantee

PathPilot uses AI to help you explore careers, plan your next steps, find jobs, improve your resume and practice interviews. Please keep in mind:

  • PathPilot supports your decisions and the work of career professionals. It does not replace them.
  • AI can make mistakes. Check important information, such as job details, requirements and credentials, before you rely on it.
  • We do not guarantee any job, interview, offer, admission or other outcome.
  • PathPilot does not give legal, financial, immigration, medical or mental health advice. Please speak with a qualified professional for those.
  • Job postings and other third-party information come from outside sources we don't control. We are not responsible for their accuracy or for employers' decisions.

06Acceptable use

Please use PathPilot lawfully and respectfully. You agree not to:

  • give false information, impersonate anyone, or use someone else's account;
  • harass, threaten or harm anyone, or upload content that is unlawful, hateful or infringes someone else's rights;
  • try to get around our security, access data you are not allowed to see, or disrupt the Services;
  • upload malware, or use bots, scrapers or other automated tools without our written permission;
  • copy, reverse engineer, resell or build a competing product from the Services;
  • use PathPilot to make decisions about other people that the law restricts, such as automated hiring decisions without human review.

07Your content

You own what you put into PathPilot, such as your resumes, career information and conversations ("Your Content").

You give us permission to host, process, copy and display Your Content only as needed to provide PathPilot to you (and to your organization, if you joined through one), and to improve PathPilot using aggregated, de-identified information, as our privacy policy explains. This permission ends when Your Content is deleted, except where the law requires us to keep it.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

08Our intellectual property

PathPilot, including its software, design, content and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Services under these Terms. All other rights are reserved.

09Third-party services

The Services may link to or include third-party services, such as job boards, Google Calendar for booking, and YouTube for videos. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.

10Ending your use

You can stop using PathPilot at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@pathpilot.ai.

We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if your organization ends its program, if we must do so by law, or to protect people or the Services. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your information.

Sections that by their nature should continue, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers and liability, survive after your access ends.

11Disclaimers

We work hard to keep PathPilot accurate, available and secure, but we provide the Services "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or suited to a particular purpose.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be limited by agreement.

12Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, PathPilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, opportunities, data or goodwill.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD $100.

For organizations, the limits in their agreement with us apply instead.

13Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If there's a problem, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we can't, you and we agree that the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto, will decide the dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as PathPilot changes. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using PathPilot after that, the updated Terms apply.

15General

These Terms, together with our privacy policy and any agreement with your organization, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
